Bush with white flowers in Paris ID'd by Alevin and Trevor as an Amelanchier

I know that Paris is not on the Mediterranean but l there were plenty of flowering trees and plants there in April, some labelled others not.
This is one of the nots.

It was growing in the Square de la Tour St. Jacques making a dense high hedge.
it can be seen at the far end of the square on the first photo

Note the blue sunny sky.

Once more I forgot to smell the flowers which would have been a bit embarrassing with so many people around enjoying the sunny weather

However, I do see that i got a good photo of the leaves ,for once.
Can anyone name this bush for me.

An Amelanchier, I'd say, probably the canadensis, but I am not familiar with the plant so I cannot guarantee.

I agree - Amelanchier, the Shad Bush.
M Land. Arch., B. Sp. Ed. Teacher, traveller and usually climate compatible.
