A wonderful surprise near Las Palmas about a half an hour drive inland: Jardin botanico Canario Viera y Clavijo, the largest botanical garden in Spain! :)

I last went to Gran Canaria in 1967, when plants were the last thing on my mind - looks like high time for a return visit....
