Title: Grevillea on the Algarve - thought by Oron to be cv. 'Winpara Gem'
Post by: Rosie on June 22, 2013, 08:15:33 PM
We are currently helping with the text for a garden tour brochure at a local large resort here in the Algarve and this plant has us all stumped, perhaps there are just too many cultivar Grevilleas ?

I would go for Grevillea x 'Winpara Gem' which is an hybrid between G. thelemanniana and G. olivacea.
A clearer photo that shows the hairs on the leaf and stem could be helpful.

Hello Oron,

many thanks indeed for this, I got well and truly stuck with all the cultivars so thank you for giving us an idea of where to look further. I will take another close up pic next time I am there and post it.

Very grateful indeed,
40C here yesterday .... definitely indoor jobs  at the moment !
