Title: Earwigs
Post by: Umbrian on June 21, 2015, 06:36:14 AM
I have been plagued by earwigs for many years but have found a simple way to trap them. My peg bag broke recently and I took to putting my pegs along the wire that runs along the top of the wire fence bounding our vegetable garden one side of which runs parallel to the washing line. Yesterday when hanging out my washing I discovered that each peg ( modern plastic ones not the old fashioned dolly pegs) had become the daytime resting place for up to 5/6 earwigs. I was able to shake them out onto the path and dispense with them! Obviously this dormitory was well placed for nightly munching amongst the vegetables.
