Title: Brodiaea californica
Post by: Fleur Pavlidis on February 17, 2016, 04:09:25 PM
Has anyone tried growing Brodiaea californica? I've just found it in a new catalogue and the species name sounds as if it would be happy here.

Hi Fleur,
Brodiaea californica grows well under our conditions in Central Victoria, as do a lot of the other "themids" like Triteleia laxa, Dichelostemma congestum, Bloomeria crocea and others,

Many thanks, Fermi. I'll give them a try and report back.

Hi Fleur,
did you get to try out the Brodiaea californica?
Here's a pic of some of ours back in December,
cheers
