Shrub with purple flower ID'd by Miriam as Solanum aviculare

I'd be grateful to know what this is since it arrived in quite the wrong place behind the house in shade where there will be building work, so will have to be moved. A present from the birds or the wind.

Thanks. It was the leaf which confused me since it didn't look solanum like at all. Having looked it up it is an enviromental pest and posionous so - pity - but it's headed for the bonfire.

Even worse is Solanum elaeagnifolium which is invading all the mediterranean climate zones. I religiously pull it up before it seeds but it comes straight back the next year, presumably coming in from the surrounding fields. If you don't wear thick gloves to grab it the tiny thorns make your life misery.
