Now, I don't expect anyone to recognize this one, not even Oron  ;)  But maybe someone once noticed this plant on sandy sea side among the low-profile weeds! Bees are crasy about it, it spreads 50cm without rerooting and is self-disciplined 1-2cm high.

Joe, photos are out of focus therefor difficult to say 100%, it looks though like Sedum pallidum.

Oron, I checked and the leaves aren't fleshy. Aren't Sedum leaves all fleshy? On the other hand the core stems are fleshy and succulent in a way that reminds me a lot of Portulaca. Observations: no palatable taste; no aroma. Sorry to bother you with a weed  :-[ but I am very keen on its microscopic-Picea-bonzai look... and bee attraction!

Unbelievable! I was sincerely not expecting this humble among the humble to have a scientific name!
There: "They [Frankenia] make attractive additions to the dry rock garden and can be massed for ground cover in a hot, sunny spot" . It seems they tolerate moderate foot traffic too.
1000 thanks !
