THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES
by Piero Caneti
In this article the use of plants,
which bought in the spring
, to create an instant flower filled garden,
are dead by the end of the winter
, is discussed.
I have often bought this type of plant, hoping to overwinter it, without much success.
A list a few of these plants and some photos
Chrysanthemum, Cyclamen, Gardenia, Geranium and Poinsettia.
Another topic is
‘The most widely used compost for the cultivation of plants’
Twenty years on the use of peat for horticultural use is now frowned upon.
