Echinops ID'd by Oron as Echinops graecus

Is this some kind of Echinops before the flower had fully developed?

It is 11.00AM on Saturday here so I think Oron is probably still fast asleep. I think it's more likely to be some kind of thistle - Onopordon? than an Echinops.

Although your photo is taken from above and doesnt show the entire plant and particulars, i would say by this compact, multistem growth that it is Echinops graecus
