Yes - Delonix regia.
They are planted here and there in Cyprus, but do best at lower altitudes.
I look on it as a good shade tree, but I have only a seedling - so I can't speak from first hand experience re sitting underneath one (maybe it gets aphids / drops sticky honeydew; maybe the fallen leaves/flowers cause a mess; etc.)
Here's one in Coral Bay, though not showing its flowers to the full.
