Hope I got your attention with the headline ;)
I picked these seeds last year in Croatia and can't remember what plant it was. Don't have a clue why and in what context they were.
Just planted some of them here at home and they are starting to take of. What plant do you think it is?

I'd think so. We grew it a lot when I was a kid. I think dad had an idea of making his own castor oil! ::)

I feel confident now that it is Ricinus, case closed.
The smaller plants in the picture is
Ceiba speciosa.

Remember that castor oil seeds are highly toxic to humans. Keep children well away.
