Cionura (Marsdenia) erecta
« on: August 24, 2013, 10:59:15 AM »
I have fond memories of this eastern Mediterranean climber, that used to be cultivated in Ninfa gardens where I started my gardening life, many years ago (it was then known with the old name - Marsdenia). I think that its silver leaves, the discreet white flowers, the rampant growth would make it a climber of choice for our gardens, but I cannot find it anywhere for sale. Maybe it is available in Greece, where it is  a member of the native flora?
Does anybody out there grow it, or know a reliable source for the seeds?
Thanks!

It is  listed on the MGS seed list...the first place to look!!

I have gardened in sub-tropical Florida, maritime UK, continental Europe and the Mediterranean basin, France. Of the 4 I have found that the most difficult climate for gardening is the latter.
